So this morning we traveled way past Blackhawk Farms to visit one of our select Fuelfed partners for a private shop tour. John and the @sportandspecialty crew can handle any restoration from soup to nuts with a bend towards British, Italian and German. It’s always enlightening to see what they have cooking and it’s a given that it’s executed with surgical precision.
It felt good to be back The Last Detail with the 10th annual Fuelfed Parts & Memorabilia event. 32 vendors and over 600 attendees made it through Saturday morning. So good to see everyone after a few months of winter dullness.
Lots of wheeling and dealing happened and we’re seeing a change in what sells and what doesn’t. Each year we tweak our recommendations to our vendors so everyone is happy.
As always these large events would not be possible with out the great support of our volunteers who put their time in to do what ever it takes to get tasks done. Thank you to all of them.
Our 8th annual Fuelfed Motorgearo has been sold out since January. We’ve worked hard to create a unique experience that caters to vintage European cars and their owners. From the curated routes of varying terrain, to culinary exploration of bespoke local eateries, the camaraderie is at peak levels during our 3 day experience, placing the Motorgearo at the top of the vintage rally scene.
We are just a week out from our 10th annual Fuelfed Parts & Petroliana Event.
We are very excited for this years’ vendors. From Automodello and their insane model cars to Liverpool Motorworks and coming all the way from Pennsylvania with their high-end vintage tool tools and rally lighting. Four slots of Ferrari literature, parts, etc. Tons of Porsche signage and 911 parts to vintage posters and tools.
Motorcultura will be there with Three Pedal Bourbon, Canaffeine coffee, Motorivet driving gloves, aluminum signs and Fuelfed t-shirts.
Least we not forget what Tom and The Last Detail have on display.

The Fuelfed Buckeyes & Bourbon Rally takes the bespoke approach that Fuelfed is known for in rallying and expands to a new elevated format. First, we escape the long cold Midwest winter for warmer climates to explore the uncrowded and lush rolling roads only the western Appliachan range can provide.
Second, we’ve secured two unique accommodations rarely available for a relaxing multi-night stay. Dining & cocktails…what is a Fuelfed rally with out unique culinary & cocktail experiences? Buckeyes & Bourbon provides 5 days and 1500 miles of incredible driving with safely sampling the historic distilleries of Kentucky.
Finally, we are curating just 15 vehicles manufactured prior to 2000 to ensure a great mix of classics. All roads, accommodations and venues are well vetted by experienced Fuelfed rally organizers.

What a great turnout for the Fallen Leaf Drive this morning. Our members are not afraid to drive their classics in wintery conditions. Honoring our motoring heritage and the US military who used our route today for over 150 years.
The Fuelfed tradition continues every October in Winnetka when we feature members who dress in the era from which their classic was in production. The top three as chosen by our event workers receive a trophy for their creativity. We also encourage spectators to dress up.
Fuelfed Vinturo 3 Road Rally this Saturday immediately following our Coffee and Classics Douglas. Always an eclectic mix of classics on this mini rally.
The Midwest’s largest vintage Porsche event is 2 weeks out.

@zuffengruppe is the Midwest’s original gathering for air-cooled and pre-1995 water-cooled classic Porsches.
Also new for 2022 is a special display area for pre-registered modern 911s, Boxsters and Caymans.
Zuffengruppe events have always kept things fresh with unique locations by learning from each previous event. 2022 brings us to the Burlington Airport in Burlington, WI. Vintage Porsches will be joined by vintage aircraft including historic Warbirds; most will be flying in from around the Midwest. Historic aircraft will be displayed next to Zuffengruppe Classics with our Vendor Village set between the two areas.
Zuffengruppe is always proud to support small and local by raising funds with a pancake breakfast served by the local high school and lunch served by the Burlington Fire Department with proceeds going to each.
Registered Porsches (classic & modern) will receive a reserved display space and the collectable Zuffengruppe swag.
Saturday night, August 20 is in the works for vintage Porsche street display in downtown Burlington in the quaint “LOOP” district from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Limited to 30 curated classic Porsches only.
