Fuelfed OPEN…Rain, But Not Rained Out

June 11, 2018

Despite the constant rain, Fuelfed members still made their way to Lake Forest for the OPEN.

Lou brought his Miller Indy car and Michael, his McClaren powered Sting Ray.

That in a nutshell is what makes the OPEN great…seriously rare member cars you won’t see anywhere else.

But what makes Fuelfed events special has always been the camaraderie. Some members hung under the tent and chatted over provided coffee (thanks Joe J.) and most others walked around in the rain happy to endure some wet shoes in exchange for in the metal conservation.

The OPEN is where our members can bring what ever interesting car they want to drive so it’s always an interesting mix.

The Fuelfed OPEN This Sunday Morning

June 7, 2018

.

Straight off the MotorGearo and into the Fuelfed OPEN this Sunday. The OPEN is for all current Fuelfed members and their American or European classic, modern sports or super cars. In other words, a big family reunion of sorts.

In 2018, there will be a suggested $10 donation for non-members displaying. This $10 will credited to your membership if you join the club.

SUNDAY, JUNE 10, 2018

LOCATION:  FOREST & NORTHGATE IN DOWNTOWN LAKE FOREST
9:00AM -11:00AM

Public Courtesy:  This is a club event, and the public is welcome to spectate. However, soliciting services, products or activities without Fuelfed’s prior consent is strictly prohibited, and those doing so will be escorted out. To those taking pictures and sharing online, we ask you to state that your images were taken at the Fuelfed OPEN.

Fuelfed Coffee & Classics Winnetka This Sunday Morning

May 25, 2018

.

As a leader in European classics, it only made sense to demonstrate the lineage of some of the great marques in a club. Hence, this Sunday at our Coffee & Classics Winnetka we will start our Heritage Series with Aston Martin. As part of our continuing effort to educate the next generation of enthusiasts will pair our members’ classics with the newest offering from a featured manufacturer.

The event starts at 9:00am.

Coffee & Classics is Fuelfed event for our members to display their classics and not an open car show.

April 26, 2018

.

Has it been nine years already since Fuelfed® started the famous Coffee & Classics® Sunday morning gatherings? The Crown Jewel of Midwest car gatherings returns to beautiful downtown Winnetka this Sunday, April 29th from 9:00am to 11:00am for the first C&C of 2018.
Yep, rain or shine.

First a little Spring garage cleaning.

1. Coffee & Classics is a private club event for current Fuelfed club members. C&C is not an open car show for every & any car. There are plenty of other car events with that format. However, if you have a classic European car manufactured prior to 1990, you can make a donation of $10 at the main gate for entry with your car. We encourage you to join Fuelfed and your $10 will be credited to your membership dues.

Members who have not yet received their 2018 membership packets, your name be will on the list at the main gate.

2. Please arrive at 9:00am, not 8:30am. Our village event permit states that we keep these times in check. Village parking enforcement will be in play before 9:00am and after 11:00am.

3. Those posting pictures online, we ask that give the courtesy to let others know you were at Fuelfed Coffee & Classics. And yes. Fuelfed has an official Instagram account #fuelfedcarclub.

4. Finally we do not allow any soliciting, nor marketing of your car or services at any Fuelfed events.

Fuelfed Coffee & Classics FTL This Sunday Morning

March 24, 2018

.

Fuelfed Coffee & Classics® may be sleeping until April up here in the Hinterland, but C&C Fort Lauderdale keeps meeting every last Sunday of the month year-round.

Yes, there are other generic cars & coffees in the Miami area, but none have the classic European good stuff like C&CFTL. So if you’re lucky enough to be in the area, it will be worth the venture to the shore.

8:00am to 10:00am
Southwest corner of
Las Olas Blvd. & A1A (Immediately south of the famous “Elbo Room). Boccaccino Pizzeria and Cafe (at the south end of the lot) opens at 8am for breakfast. Set your GPS to 401 S. Fort Lauderdale Blvd.

Fuelfed Coffee & Classics FTL pulled in a large number of Euro classics this morning, despite the national concours happening a few miles away. This Peking to Paris Mercedes set the tone. Dig the Safari front bumper.

Fuelfed Coffee & Classics FTL

December 16, 2017

.

While us rust-belters brace for the coming polar vortex we call the second season, our Fuelfed brothers to the south in Fort Lauderdale have been busy driving their classics. The array of European classics has being expanding as our man Martin holds court each month at Coffee & Classics® FTL.

Martin explains below.

.

.

If you weren’t around for the November Coffee & Classics Fort Lauderdale, well, you missed a pretty amazing event! There was a little bit of everything, German, Italian, Swedish and English. We’re still hoping for something French to grace us one of these days. (insert French car reliability joke here)

.

.

The iron butt award definitely goes to Chicago Fuelfed member Joe R. who towed his fantastic little Messerschmitt convertible all the way from Sarasota to be with us. It was also great to have first timers Steve S. and his monster 300 SEL 6.3, and Richard P. join us with his gorgeous 300 SL Roadster. A big thanks for Jon Van Woerden for taking all the pictures.  I’m sure many of you will want to peruse them. Thanks again to all of you who’ve been with us from early on or who have joined us over the last three years. This event is what it is because of all of you and your great cars.

Cheers Martin!
