2016 has been a tough year with several icons passing. From David Bowie to Prince just to start. Fuelfed has had its share of members hard shifting into the passing lane. From Frank Mack to FFG100 Evans Papageorge, and now Tobin Stanley.

Tobin was the consummate car-guy, starting in college with his first 356, to vintage BMW & Moto-Guzzi motorcycles, to Citroens and 914-6s. Always willing to lend a hand and quick with an inspiring smile, Tobin contributed to Fuelfed in many ways. From the Fuelfed Fall Classic, Coffee & Classics-Winnetka, The OPEN, and Cocktails & Classics to vintage Garage Nights. Most recently he and his wife Michelle helped with the MotorGearo 250, staging the Dirty Concours in New Glarus.

We will always be honored by his comment at Puempels Tavern when he raised his glass and stated; “I’m proud to be part of this great group of gear-heads; thank you for making Fuelfed so special”.
No, Tobin, thank you. It’s friends like you that make our culture worth pursuing. You will be deeply missed.

Tobin is survived by Michelle and their four children.
Visitation is this Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 3:00 to 9:00pm at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. in Orland Park, IL.

Services are Thursday.

More info and directions to Colonial Chapel.

So sorry to hear about Tobin. He had come early and stayed late to set up and tear down Cocktails & Classics, and I enjoyed both his company and conversation. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. SDDIV
