February Coffee & Classics FTL Recap

With the continued battering that winter is unleashing on so much of the country, and the fact that our fellow fuelfed cronies in Chicago, can only get excited about the fact that the temperature is getting back UP to freezing, I’m almost ashamed to admit that it was once again a beautiful Sunday with temps in the low 70’s for C&C Fort Lauderdale’s February event.

I’m proud to say we hit double digits! 10 cars and their proud owners joined in this month. The interesting stand out was surely the Bond Bug – a three wheeled Car built by Trident in the UK in the early 70’s.  If you’ve never seen one before, don’t feel bad, you’re not alone. Interestingly enough, one of these starred in an episode of Velocity channel’s “Wheeler Dealers” a while back, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have know what it was either!  Have a look at the teaser for the episode here:  http://www.velocity.com/tv-shows/wheeler-dealers/videos/wheeler-dealers-the-bond-bug/

Once again, with the exception of three cars, it was a whole new group.  Now, if I can only get everyone who’s attended so far to show up together one of these Sundays….

Word is certainly getting out. The South Florida Alfa Romeo club has us on their event calendar, and we’re hitting all the other South Florida European car clubs with reminders each month through their Facebook pages. With new faces, and an interesting automotive mix that continues to arrive each month, it spurs us on to March forward to next month’s event – sorry about that pun.
