Why Pete Seeger Matters

Yes Pete Seeger and cars don’t have anything in common.

Whether you’re a fan of Pete Seeger the folksinger, civil activist or environmentalist it doesn’t matter. What does matter is Pete had one singular belief. A belief that never wavered. A belief in the human race and America. With out Pete Seeger there would not have been courage for a Bob Dylan, John Lennon, let a lone a Martin Luther King. Pete was not about revolution, but evolution of social respect. Pete believed in a brighter future for mankind through the eyes of children and music.

Until his passing last Monday at age 94, Pete Seeger never stop playing his banjo for the love of his fellow Amercians. In a current world of social unconsciousness ever driven by human retreat into mobile electronica, Pete Seeger matters more than ever.
