Coffee & Classics This Weekend!

It seems like ages ago when we had our summer weather back in March. The Impromptu Coffee & Classics on March 18th, brought out some serious metal much earlier than usual.

Coffee & Classics has grown very quickly since the first 24 cars showed up in September 2010. Last year’s events were such a pleasure, with the incredible array of beautiful European classics, and their gracious owners conversing all things automotive, that C&C has evolved into one of the midwest’s best monthly gatherings. Where else in Chicagoland are you going to see an Iso Grifo parked next to a MGB-GT with their owners talking carbs settings over coffee?

This not an organized car show, rather a casual Sunday morning gathering to keep the old gears oiled. This event is not about how much money you paid for the newest Italian super-car, but rather about driving your classic as it was meant to be driven. From Aston to Zagato, or Alfa to VW, it doesn’t matter, just drive it.

We’ll be meeting on the 550 block of Lincoln (see map here) just north of Elm in east downtown Winnetka (east of Greenbay Rd.).

2012  dates are Sundays: April 29, May 27, June 24, July 29, Aug. 26, Sept. 30, Oct. 28
9:00am to 11:00am.

If you like, we have windshield display cards for drivers to fill out their cars vitals. This will allow the rest of us to appreciate the classic even if the driver isn’t near by to chat. These cards will be available in front of Café Aroma for drivers to fill out. Or you can download cards from the web link here and print as many as you want.

Also sign up for the Fuelfed private member only email list.

Delicious Meinl’s coffee and pastries will be available for purchase at Café Aroma. Haute Dawgs and Little Ricky’s will be open for brunch at 11:30am.

Please respect the neighborhood with NO hot-rodding or open exhausts.
