The Anadol STC-16 was the first sports car designed and produced in Turkey from 1973 to 1975. Designed by Eraip Noyan, it took blatant styling cues from the Datsun 240z and Ford Capri. But he oil crisis in 1974 killed it off faster than it’s 68hp engine could propel it to 60mph.

Even with only 176 models produced, the STC-16 became synonymous with its era in the memory of that period’s Turkish youth, and the upgraded competition version of the car won numerous victories in rally competitions in Turkey and Europe piloted by Renç Koçibey & Demir Bükey.

And there you go, the Turkey car for turkey day.
