What Enzo Ferrari Really Drove

Enzo Ferrari was a tough businessman and like Ferry Porsche, he had a singuar vision of what a true sports car should be. But unlike Ferry, Enzo was curious how other more pedestrian cars drove and what made them popular. It is believed Enzo owned a Mini Cooper S as one of his daily drivers, though we doubt he’d admit to it.

I thought you were going to say it was a 1955 Chevy Bel Air.

  2. Cordova Says:

A couple of things, firstly there was nothing pedestrian about a Mini Cooper S at the time it shamed many of the contemporary sports cars. As well as winning numerous races and rallies.
Secondly Enzo was reported to be rather keen on the Mini, it’s believed that he had owned at least two of them. If he was reluctant to admit it, it would be doubtful he would be posing for the above photo with Sir Alec Issigonis the creator of the Mini.
