Early Alpina Tuning

by

.

It’s commonly none that Alpina’s first tuned BMW was the 1600 in 1963. By 1971, Alpina had grown its quiver of go-fast 2002 offerings to cover every aspect of engine, gearing, suspension and braking. Combined properly, the tuned 4 cylinder got close to 200hp for the holy grain benchmark of 100hp per 1 liter of displacement.

We love these early screamers.
