FFotW: 1970 Porsche 911T

by

UPDATE: We believe this ad on http://www.autotrader.com was now a scam. The ad was pulled by Autotrader today and the phone number disconnected. Again; if it’s too good to be true, it isn’t…dooh!

Guess we’re feeling generous here at the Fuelfed Garage or maybe rare cars are just coming for sale this week. This one popped up tonight.

Well what we have here is a 1970 911T in what appears to be impeccable shape with only 67,000 miles. Located somewhere in rural Indiana according to the area code in the ad. No real description either. Could be a wife or child of a recently deceased enthusiast, but the plate on the back looks like a dealer plate…who knows. Regardless, at $12,000 this is under valued by 100%. Pre-impact bumper 911’s in this shape trade all day at over $25,000.

From what we gather from the pictures it’s got minty stock leather seats and semi-RS door cards. Standard option steelies work but Fuchs are always nicer. We’d like to see a Fuelfed collector snatch this one up. Joe? Bruno? Frank?

Think I just found this on eBay for 28000 with the reserve not met.

I tried calling the listed number in Indiana but it was disconnected. I’d like to know where the FuelFed ad came from. It appears the same car is now on sale on ebay by Motoexcotica and I can easily imagine the origiinal ad at $12,000 was seen by someone from there and snapped up. The original advertiser might have gotten so many calls they had the line disconnected.
