In Honor of Joe Sterling

A good friend of my father and famous editorial photographer, Joe Sterling, passed this Sunday at 74 years young. Joe has known me since the day I was born.

In recent years, Joe came back into my life for various reasons. He was an early  pioneer at capturing the youth culture in Chicago back in the early 1960’s. Today his works have permanent places in MOMA and Getty.

Joe may not have been a car guy, but he definitely had the Fuelfed spirit and certainly knew how to capture it.

God’s speed, Joe, may you rest in peace.
