Highland Park IL Car Show fuelfed July 31

This Saturday July 31, the Highland Park Historical Society will be hosting its 10th annual vintage car show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on the historical society’s grounds, 326 Central Ave.

The Auto Historica show will feature rare and unique classic cars, including two pre-World War II Alfa Romeos.

This year’s show is also honoring Ford vehicles, including models spanning from around 1915 to the 1950’s. Al Fritsch, of Highland Park Ford Lincoln Mercury, will be showing his personal car, the 1956 Ford Crown Victoria two-door and Highland Park resident Joe Bortz will have his 1937 ‘Glenn Johnson’ Ford on display as well.

The collection will also include Duesenbergs, Rolls Royces and foreign and domestic sports cars including two-seater Thunderbirds and Corvettes.


Milwaukee’s Masterpiece Car Show: Sunday, August 22

The Milwaukee Masterpiece is a fantastic show held at beautiful Veteran’s lake front park.

The Fuelfed clan usually makes a day of it. Starting with breakfast at famous Frank’s Diner in Kenosha, and ending on the veranda at with cocktails at the Iron Horse in Milwaukee.

In its sixth year, the Milwaukee Masterpiece is looking forward to featuring Duesenberg, as well as celebrating Alfa Romeo’s 100th Anniversary. Visitors can expect to experience unique automobiles from across the United States and Europe.

Based on its success in 2009, Ferrari will become a permanent feature at The Milwaukee Masterpiece. Co-Chairs Alan Boe and Matt Backhaus will see to it that the 2010 Ferrari showing is second to none.

Tickets are $15 at the gate.
